How Can We Convict Saddam Considering What is Happening Now?

Author: Lance Winslow

Currently we have a lot of fighting around the Northern Border of Iraq, Iran and Turkey. Iran and Turkey working together have sent groups or insurgents into Iraqi Kurdish areas to kill leaders of the Kurdish group there. Why? Well there are some 12 million Kurds in Turkey and Turkey says they are wanting to over throw the government there. Now there are issues also in Iran with this right?

Well if Saddam is complaining that the Kurds he killed way back when were trying to assassinate him and some probably were. Then he could say look they are trying to do the same thing now and look Turkey is invading Iraq to stop them now. Meanwhile if the Kurds make things rather tough on the Iranian leadership well that is okay with us, but we have told both Turkey and Iran to stay out of Iraq and stop sending in insurgents. Wow what a convoluted mess.

Maybe when they took Saddam out of the rat hole, they should have simply helped him on his way to the next life right then and there? I hope we are all learning some lessons here in that this trial is making us look very stupid and although many Iraqis want justice and to watch him hang or get beheaded or shot, what if the court finds him not guilty on this charge, boy will we look rather stupid.

Meanwhile he has plenty of more charges to last many years, although if they call him not guilty on this mass murder then what? Consider all this in 2006, as the world media is already speaking of it.
