Extremely Large-forming Tropical Activity Off the Eastern Seaboard

Author: Lance Winslow

An extremely large and growing tropical system is hovering off the Eastern Seaboard and it may or may not be slaughtered by the fast moving Trade Winds blowing all this moisture into the North East causing evacuations and flooding in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia.

Nevertheless the trade winds could slow the system or the system could keep the trade winds inland for a Rocky Ride up in the North East allowing the system to move slowly and gather force and eventually move on shore to an already very wet and soggy area. Even if it does not it could cause the storms moving West to East to bunch up and dump more rain and further deluge from Washington DC up to New England.

All this as another storm system forms in the lower Eastern Caribbean. Meaning it too could severely impact the weather in all these areas as well. We seem to have many factors now. Tropical Activity entering the Caribbean, West Coast wet storms moving Eastward 3-days out from North East. Lingering weather and precipitation and flooding in North East and a Tropical Storm forming off the coast of the Carolinas and deciding which way to go.

Either way it may slow the weather patterns and that means more rain and flooding in the North East from Virginia to New England States. So much for the Forth of July activities? Consider all this in 2006.
